Data Modeler

Responsibilities:

·         Analyze, design, and implement Data Warehouse (DWH) solutions

·         Create Logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy

·         Optimize and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects

·         Analyze data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions

·         Collaborate with business users/product owners/developers to contribute to the analysis of functional requirements

·         Research and provide alternatives and recommendations based on best practices and application functionality

·         Collaborate with technical leads/architects for design approvals and code reviews

·         Provide Ongoing maintenance, support and improvements in existing DWH processes

·         Mentor other engineers within the team

Skills/Experience:

·         5+ years prior hands-on experience developing DWH solutions using MS SQL Server

·         Expertise in Data Modeling practices for OLAP/OLTP warehousing solutions

·         Solid experience in Performance Tuning

·         Work independently and also as a member of a team

·         Highly motivated and capable of working on multiple priorities without supervision

·         Experience with the following:

o   Modeling Tools – ER Studio or ERWIN

o   Very large data sets

o   SQL and SSIS Development

·         Experience desired for the following:

o   Healthcare Industry domain

o   Scrum/Agile development methodologies

o   Business Intelligence tools such as Jaspersoft, Microsoft BI, MicroStrategy

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
