Job description:

 

Mandatory Skills:

 

·        Windows desktops using SCCM

·        Wise Packaging/ Wise AdminStudio

·        scripting with BAT files and/or VBScript

 

Position Description:

 

Software Packaging andDeployment Specialist

Software Packaging specialist is responsible for gathering requirements fromthe application owners, creating and testing packages and successfullydeploying packages across a large-scale enterprise environment.

Required Skills:

·Extensive experience of desktop application packaging for Windows 7 andWindows XP
·Experience working with enterprise packaging tools: Wise PackageStudio/AdminStudio, InstallShield.
·Experience of Software Deployment technologies with a strong focus onMicrosoft SCCM
·Experience managing large-scale deployments and troubleshooting deployemntissues using SCCM
·Creating and editing Windows Installer MSIs including Patches, Transforms,Custom Actions, and Active Setup.
·Creation of virtual application packages using Microsoft App-V and/or CitrixXenapp
·Strong knowledge of Windows 7, Group Policy, Windows registry.
·Extensive scripting skills experience (VBScript, PowerShell, and Batch).
·Experience with Active Directory, additional experience with Novell and CitrixTechnologies a definite plus.
·Extensive experience in application integration and remediation for 32/64-bitoperating systems.
·Experience in application remediation for Windows 7 Standard User rights(Locked down workstation)
·Packaging desktop software applications for automated installations (experiencewith Wise, SCCM, MSI, AdminStudio)
Experience managing Windows Desktops in Enterprise Environments consisting of5,000+ endpoints.
Experience creating solutions and provide 3rd level support to extended 2ndlevel support technicians across multiple geographic locations.
·Using investigation and troubleshooting tools (Process Monitor, Orca, CMDShell, etc.) to resolve package issues and apply the appropriate levels ofsecurity to the local system.
·Workstation virtualization technologies such as VMware Workstation.
·Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to prioritize between multiple tasks.

 

Skills Required:

 

5 years experience centrallymanaging large numbers of Windows desktops using SCCM
5 years experience using Wise/AdminStudio to create software packages
5 years experience scripting with BAT files and/or VBScript
3 years experience with desktop virtualization definite plus
