SOFTWARE ENGINEER - .Net (EAD-GC, GC, US Citizens Only)

Title: Software Engineer (.NET)

Location: Leawood, KS

Duration: 6+ months

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

1.       Develop and support secure transaction processing systems and enterprise applications supporting report management and delivery, system administrative applications, systems integration and distributed WAN systems including embedded terminal applications.

2.       Develop and support multi-threaded C++ based TCP/IP service-based applications with Microsoft SQL Server backend.

3.       Develop and support web-based applications and services using cutting edge technologies including Microsoft .Net 4.0, ASP.Net, Ajax, WCF and MVC using C#.

4.       Work closely with operational personnel to define projects and provide status updates and estimates.

5.       Troubleshoot complex production issues effectively and efficiently in a high availability critical production environment.

 

REQUIRED & DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1.       Four year degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology or the equivalent combination of education and experience. 

2.       2 or more years’ progressive experience post college.

3.       Experience with some or all of the following programming languages: MS VC++; MS C#; MS ASP.NET; JavaScript; HTML; MS T-SQL.

4.       Experience with some or all of the following software technologies: TCP/IP; HTTP; SSL; XML/SOAP; MS WCF; Ajax; Multithreading.

5.       Experience with some or all of the following infrastructure technologies:  MS Windows Server; Windows clustering; MS Windows Active Directory; MS IIS; Cisco routing, switching, firewalls; SAN configuration/administration; FC Switching; VMWare; MS SQL Server.

6.       Demonstrated communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels within the organization.

7.       Demonstrated organizational and teamwork skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines.
