Java Developer

Location: Herndon, VA

 

                                                                                

Develops and maintains various in-house tools

• Interact with users globally to understand business requirements so that they can develop new features and technical specifications
• Create documentation like functional specifications and user guides and conduct application training for users
• Perform application support, testing and trouble shooting
• Evaluate and propose new software products and assist on IT project implementations
• Coordinate with internal support team and external vendors
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Experience /Qualifications:

• Undergraduate Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline required
• At least 3 years of solid Java experience required
• Experience in PHP, MySQL
• Familiarity with Java/J2EE, XML, Struts and Hibernate
• Experience with AJAX and advanced JavaScript techniques
• Experience in database development a must
• Oracle experience desired
• Experience with data schemas and relational databases
• Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to work independently
• Ability to analyze, develop and debug code a must
• Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proven creative, analytical, and detail-oriented abilities

• Ability to complete projects on time while following best coding practices
• Experience working in a multi-national environment and/or international company desired
