Technical Support Engineer _San Ramon_CA

Howare you doing?  I am working with one my clients based out at SanRamon, CA. They are looking for a Technical Support Engineer whichis going to be a 6+ months long term contract. Responsibilities

·        Direct support and resolution of Softwarerelated issues

·        Partnership with dev and test teams for Hotfix,Maintenance  Releases and bugs/feature requests

·        Install and configure the product suite andcreate test cases to isolate configuration issues and product defects

·        Stewardship of GE Software Answers supportcommunity

·        Continuous improvement of Incident Handle Times,First Contact Resolution, Escalation Rates, Self-Service/Community Experience

·        Improve our knowledge base, build KnowledgeCentric Support

·        Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation

·        Guide and lead junior Software Support Engineers

 

 

Qualifications / Requirements

·        5+ years of experience in software industry withat least 3 years in software technical support.

·        Saas support experience preferred.

·        Strong knowledge of at least 2 of the following:Java, C, C++.

·        Strong knowledge of databases and SQL.

·        Must be willing to travel and/or work a flexibleschedule including the possibility of on-call rotation
